Part- Time Positions
Caregiver/ Teacher
We are hiring childcare workers to work with our students after school.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age, have a GED or High school diploma
- 3 years childcare experience
- Acceptable background check for childcare licensure in the state of Mississippi
- Clean driving record
- Acceptable immunization record (121 Form) for working in an early childhood education setting
- Genuinely love helping others, especially children
- Genuine desire to make a difference in lives
- Be able to safety transport children from school to the center each day on a 15 passenger van
- Patient, well-organized, flexible, professional, and dependable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Follow a full schedule of activities and teaching material
- Ability to effectively guide and supervise school-aged children to ensure safety and implement developmentally appropriate practice
- Ability to multi-task, move freely, sit, and stand with ease
- Ability to effectively supervise students in a variety of settings, including indoor classrooms, outdoor learning environments, and field trips in a variety of weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- The ability to obtain appropriate CPR and First Aid Certification
- Current CECPR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, a MDHS DECCD Child Care Director’s Credential, or MDHS OCY Director’s Child Care Credential
- Valid Food Manager’s Certification such as MSU TummySafe or ServSafe
Responsibilities
- Guides, directs and supervises children in developmentally appropriate activities-indoor and outdoor learning/play time, homework time, reading, rest time, snack/mealtime
- Help the children with homework and reading
- Prepares and serves snacks for children during meal times
- Plan and implement art projects
- Provides a safe, healthy learning environment for the students, assists with Biblical lesson plans, arts and crafts, and game activities
- Works to develop the whole child through developmentally appropriate activities that focus on Biblical Values
- Daily cleaning duties to clean classrooms and work areas as well as bathrooms and kitchen
- Participates in professional development activities such as workshops, conferences, in-service training, and parent meetings
- Completes all required written reports in a timely manner-time, including daily meal counts, children’s attendance, etc.
- Reports to the Director-Child Development Center any cases of suspected abuse and needs for referral for various types of service for the children
- Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, art, drawing, etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Part-Time Hours: 2:00 pm – 6:15 pm shifts available Monday through Friday after school. Some positions may not report to work until 3 pm. The position may include additional hours on school breaks, intercession weeks, Thanksgiving and Christmas Break as well as summer.
Caregiver Assistant
We are hiring childcare assistants to work with our students after school.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Acceptable background check for childcare licensure in the state of Mississippi
- Acceptable immunization record (121 Form) for working in an early childhood education setting
- Genuinely love helping others, especially children

We are hiring music teachers for general music, piano, violin, drums, and guitar.

- Inspire learning and creating the next generation of musicians
- Teach music lessons to a diverse population of students, K-6th Grades
- Lead small group music classes
- Seek out and Demonstrate VBS Songs for daily lessons
- Ability to effectively supervise students in a variety of settings, including indoor classrooms, outdoor learning environments, and field trips in a variety of weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- The ability to obtain appropriate CPR and First Aid Certification
- Music and/or Education degree and classroom experience preferred.

- Light cleaning at the end of each shift including sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning classroom and other shared common areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Volunteer Positions
Fishers of Men Bible and Music Centers is looking for Volunteer School Assistants & Music Teachers to support our after-school program in a part-time capacity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Acceptable background check for childcare licensure in the state of Mississippi
- Acceptable immunization record (121 Form) for working in an early childhood education setting
- Patient, well-organized, flexible, professional, and dependable.
- Assist with a full schedule of activities and teaching material
